Cool Flash Game – Pipemania

After the success of the Pipemania website we were asked to create a fully functioning copy of the game, but in Flash. It would be used to help spread the word of Pipemania to the masses and also act as a demonstration of the actual game if you click on the floating barrel in the website. It was an interesting and fun challenge for us as we had to mimic the game exactly.

Brewing up something special – A microbrewery in need of our help

Well following on from our last post, another large past time that everyone at the late night salon has is drinking! So we were chosen by Weatheroak Hill Brewery to produce their branding for the brewery and their designs for 3 of their finest ales. Being a design agency based in London we had loads of great old pubs to visit for some inspiration so have a look at what we came up with!

We have heard on the grapevine that CAMRA were very impressed and apparently there is an unwritten rule that if a beer badge has an animal on it it sells, so lets hope that’s the case.

We’re all Animals!! – Our own designs to promote girls who Surf.

Well with our Creative Director Toria Jaymes being a surf girl at heart. What better way for a london design agency to get back to the beach with a design for a new surfboard for Animal.

The board is out there to try and encourage more girls to pick up a surf board, head out back and become one with the sea. Unfortunately these are only concepts so you won’t be sea-ing them any time soon.

Brilliant Viral – No animals were harmed in the making of this!

We were sent this viral, a great idea beautifully executed, taking the product out of context to move it away from the wallpaper we see as consumers for mobile phones.

Snow Munny Anywhere!

To keep with the snow theme we were amazed to come across this photo of one of Toria’s (our creative director here at the late night salon) Munny characters (from her ever expanding army) who had decided to make the most of the recent snow fall in London. He stayed out there so long he even turned PINK .

Snow is falling – all around..

Well with the recent dump of snow that we have had in the UK this week, it triggered our memory to share with you all the Christmas message that we put together to send to everyone in London and beyond. In true design agency style we didn’t just want to send a picture in an email, but to do something a bit more creative. So we came up with this little number, let me take you through it….

Adidas go green

There is a wonderful outdoor space right outside our design agencies office in the heart of Shoreditch here in London town. Quite a lot of the time it shows the same kind of ads that you see all over the country, but every now and again brands, street artists and whoever has an inclination to do something creative, use it to produce some pretty unique stuff.

We managed to grab a quick shot of this very interesting interpretation of an adidas trainer. Luckily we didn’t get landed with having to water it!!

If you go back a few posts you may have seen the state of the art Malachi-Island website we did for the Malachi Trust. Incorporating the very latest in Flash based technology and artificial intelligence. What you may not have seen is the Branding that we did for the site, aimed at a youth audience of between 5 and 11 year olds, it was produced to be fun and friendly. After producing the branding and site we are now Malachi’s favourite London based Design Agency.

Weird Science

Well we like to keep our work diverse!!! So when we were asked to work with a TV presenter / Physicist who has a particular liking for blowing things up we were well up for the challenge.

Laura Grant Associates is a consultancy that focus on public engagement with science and engineering, they have done some incredible work with the teams at “Walking with robots” “ZeroCarbonCity” and Laura Grant herself is also one of the presenters on Discovery Channels “The Big Experiment”

So we set about creating a new and fresh brand for the company that represented the link with Science but also showed the delicateness and softness that was sometimes needed when communicating what can often be very complex information to the average member of the public.

Once the branding was all completed the next task on the agenda was to create an online presence for the company. So we produced this website, showcasing the type of work that Laura Grant Associates does, incorporating a fully bespoke backend content management system, that is very user friendly allowing the company to update their site whenever they want to.

Laura Grant was so impressed with the website that it even inspired her to create her own blog which is brilliant, with a fact every Friday like “One in four of all the living things on the planet is a beetle.” It is a must for our bookmarks!

If you haven’t seen this you are missing out. An incredible trailer for the new Thundercats Movie, with an impressive cast!!!!! Unfortunately it is fanmade, but the technical excellance behind it is impressive and I only hope this guy is now being paid lots of money in Hollywood……..I also hope they make this movie!!!! Make sure your volume is on max!!
